We want our children to leave us as happy, confident, cooperative, kind and independent children who are eager and willing to learn – giving them the foundation for the rest of their education.
At Ben Rhydding Pre-School we provide a wide range of well-planned continuous provision to allow children to follow their own interests and ideas through purposeful play. Children are observed and their interests are identified, these are used to inform our ‘in-the-moment’ planning. Each term an individual child has their own set of learning objectives with planned next steps which are included in the weekly planning.
We offer both child-initiated and adult-led activities throughout the day – there is opportunity for exploration and learning through play both indoors and outdoors.
Diversity, inclusion and belonging – we celebrate the diversity in the UK throughout our curriculum, this is done through our core texts, the books we have in the book corner and the emphasis that we put on different celebrations throughout the year.
We pride ourselves on our commitment to being an inclusive setting where everyone feels a sense of belonging, we aim to teach the children how to have respect for everyone and everything. We learn together about the world, different cultures, interacting with diverse groups and developing skills for communication and interaction across cultures.
