Key Person System

When your child joins Ben Rhydding Pre-school, you will be introduced to their “Key Person”. This is a member of the team who will pay personal attention to the needs and development of your child.
They will spend their time in Pre-School getting to know your child inside out and will be your main point of contact. The Key Person will have responsibility for continually evaluating your child’s progress and up-dating their records. You can access and add to their online learning journey via Tapestry at any time. Parents meet with their child’s key person twice a year to discuss progress.

Everyone involved in caring for your child benefits from the “Key Person” system. You can be confident that your child is cared for consistently by someone who knows and understands them well. The key person can draw on their in-depth understanding of your child to meet their individual needs. Secure relationships, confidence and good communications are all promoted by our key person system, creating the best environment for your child to thrive.

If your child joins us when they are two, we must complete a 2 year old progress check. Your child’s Key Person will carry this out and share the assessment with you.
