Parent Partnership

We recognise parents as the first and most important educators of their young children. Our Pre-School actively builds on parent relationships through our friendly ethos and open door policy. We actively welcome the involvement of all family members of the children in our care, whether it’s through termly Stay and Play sessions, trips, volunteering skills, sharing their own special interests and cultures or coming and reading stories to the children.

We work closely with parents to support the settling in period starting with a home visit. Within the first 6 weeks at Pre-School parents are invited to speak with their Key Person to share and discuss their child’s learning journey.

Parents can follow their child’s learning through Tapestry– an online and app-based learning journal. We also encourage parents to share moments from home on Tapestry.  We also host termly Stay and Play session, where you can come along to a session and join the fun and monthly newsletter is sent to all parents.
